Marin Alsop is one of the great female American conductors. Since becoming the first woman to hold the position of Music Director at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, she has gone on to record a number of other firsts, and is now one of the most high-profile women in conducting.

London Symphony OrchestraThe London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is the resident orchestra of the Barbican Centre and is the oldest of London’s symphony orchestras. It was recently rated by Gramophone as one of the top five orchestras in the world.

London Symphony ChorusThe London Symphony Chorus is one of the country’s leading symphony choruses with more than 150 singers. It has a close association with the LSO.
