Sir Andrew Davis will be conducting the BBC Symphony Orchestra at Barbican Hall, alongside the cellist Paul Watkins.
They will be performing some classical works by Finzi and Shostakovich.

Sir Andrew Davis is the Principal Conductor at the Lyric Opera in Chicago, and Chief Conductor of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. He has also led the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
Paul Watkins started his career by winning the BBC Young Musician of the Year award, before becoming the principal cellist of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In recent years he has recorded with the English Chamber Orchestra as its associate conductor.
The BBC Symphony Orchestra works closely with the BBC and is the principal orchestra during their world-famous Proms Concerts season at the Royal Albert Hall. They also play regular concerts at the Barbican.
