Director: Max Key; Written by: Neil McPherson
With seven OffWestEnd Award nominations already in the bag, Neil McPherson's 'It Is East To Be Dead' is transferring to the Trafalgar Studios for a three week run.
It tells the story of Charles Sorley who was killed in action during the World War I at the tender age of twenty. His parents are naturally devastated, and have only his letters and poems to remember him by. But through his extraordinary writings, coupled with some stirring songs of the period, we learn all about his promising life, and how it was cut short by the futility of war.
