This ice rink has a spectacular backdrop, sitting in the shadow of some of London's tallest buildings -- the skyscrapers at Canada Square. The rink itself is located in Canada Square Park, in the heart of Canary Wharf. It also has a roof on top, just in case it rains.
This rink usually has an interesting little feature that sets it apart from the others -- a skate path that allows you to leave the main rink and glide past the fir trees and fairy lights around the perimeter.
It also has a rinkside bar and a viewing terrace... for those of you who'd rather keep your feet firmly on solid ground.

Craig’s review – “The best ice rink at Christmas is the one at Somerset House. This is how a winter rink should look, all lit in brilliant blues with a giant Tiffany Christmas tree up the front. It gets dark early in the winter when we put the clocks back so it's pitch black at five-thirty, and people have packed it out already. They are half gliding and half sliding, and they all look… continued”
