The streets of Wimbledon will be paved with gold this Christmas as "Dick Whittington" comes to town (not literally, of course -- they'll still be paved with concrete).

Maybe one day we'll have a panto about our modern-day Mayors (fancy a panto about Sadiq Khan, Boris Johnson and Ken Livingstone, anyone?), but for now we'll have to settle for good 'ol Dick Whittington and his cat, who come to London on a quest to find fame and fortune.

Will the streets really be paved with gold? -- Er... no.
Will he win the hand of the lovely Alice? -- Probably.
And will he be able to defeat the dastardly King Rat? -- There's only one way to find out!
