There will be a 41-gun salute in Hyde Park to mark the Queen's birthday.
The Queen famously has two birthdays every year (how did she manage to wangle that?), but this is her real one. I appreciate that it's impolite to discuss a lady's age, but she will be 91 years old this year. But I think you will agree with me when I say that she doesn't look a day over 85. (Especially if you look at her picture on the stamps.)
The gun salute will be fired by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery (KTRHA), and take place in the north-eastern corner of the park, a short distance from Speaker's Corner.
Be warned that these gun salutes are incredibly loud.
Note: Another gun salute will take place one hour later at the Tower of London. Here is our full list of gun salutes and military parades in London.

Craig’s review – “I don't get on very well with the sun. Put it this way: we're not friends. If I'm going to be walking around a park for two hours then I usually like to do it in the rain -- but it's sunny today. It's hot enough to boil the tears off my cheeks. So if I wilt halfway round then you'll understand why, because Hyde Park is a lot bigger than it looks on a map.
I'm start… continued”
