The London Chess Classic is the UK's largest chess festival, where ten of the world's strongest chess players will compete live on stage, with expert commentary from some top Grandmasters.

The main event is a nine-round affair where each player will play everyone else. The grandmasters competing this year are: World champion Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, Veselin Topalov, Viswanathan Anand, Anish Giri, Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian, Alexander Grischuk, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Michael Adams.

Other events include a knockout tournament for eight leading British players, a nine-round FIDE Open, an English Junior Rapid play and a ten-round Super Rapid play in which 12 Grandmasters will compete.
