Enjoy a short tour around what remains of the western gate of London's Roman military fort (close to the Museum of London).
The fort once stood in the north-west corner of a huge wall that surrounded Londinium around 200 AD, and was re-discovered in 1956.
Note: Due to the terrain this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users.
If you like Roman London then you might want to try the Guildhall Art Gallery as well, which has the remains of the Roman amphitheatre in the basement. Have a read of Craig's review to learn what it's like. You might be interested in his review of Billingsgate Roman Bath House as well.

Craig’s review – “The Museum of London tells the story of the city all the way back to the bones and stones of the prehistoric era. The only animals we have walking around Trafalgar Square these days are pigeons and squirrels, but back then we had a plain full of hippos and elephants. They've dug up monkey bones, lions, bison, bears... it was better than London Zoo! When you visit as… continued”
