The Royal Opera House is putting on a production of Mozart's "Cosi Fan Tutte" (The Magic Flute).

Can two faithful couples have their affections changed by a harmless deception?

One man decides to find out, by betting his two friends that their partners will prove unfaithful in less than a day. Totally confident in the strength of their relationships, both men accept.

They pretend to get called away to war, only to return in disguise and woo the other's lover.

But in this most sophisticated of operas, no-one escapes unscathed...
