Hilary Davan Wetton will be conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and City of London Choir in 'A Choral Christmas' at Cadogan Hall.

The programme will include extracts from Handel's 'Messiah', Benjamin Britten's 'Ceremony of Carols' and Bach's 'Christmas Oratorio', along with plenty of carols by John Rutter, Peter Warlock and John Gardner.

John Rutter is a British conductor, composer and arranger of mainly choral pieces. He has written many religious works, including a recent piece for the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) was founded by Thomas Beecham in 1946. Subsequent principal conductors have included the great André Previn and Vladimir Ashkenazy.
