Director -- Jason Robert Brown

Cast -- Samantha Barks, Jonathan Bailey

Jason Robert Brown's acclaimed new musical is coming to the St. James Theatre -- "The Last Five Years".

This emotionally-charged new musical tells the story of two New Yorkers, Jamie and Cathy, who fall in and out of love over the course of five years.

Whilst Jamie enjoys some success as an author, struggling actress Cathy is still trying to find work and work out why her career has hit the skids.

Can a couple, once united by their dreams, still stay connected when their paths diverge?

You'll have to pay attention to find out, because "The Last Five Years" has a very strange structure. Jamie's story is told as it happens, whilst Cathy's is told in reverse, moving backwards from the end. The characters only meet briefly as their stories intertwine.
