'Saint Joan' is Joan of Arc: a daughter, farm girl, patriot, soldier, leader, and victor, who kicked the English out of France.

But then she was caught, and burnt as a witch and heretic, before finally emerging as a saint and martyr.

Gemma Arterton will be taking on the role of Joan in Bernard Shaw's classic play.
