An American In Paris has been hailed as "a perfect integration of dance, romance and classic Gershwin".

With a cast of fifty actors, dancers and musicians making full use of George and Ira Gershwin's timeless tunes, including I Got Rhythm, They Can't Take That Away From Me, and The Man I Love, An American in Paris turns the post-war Paris into a kaleidoscope of romance.

It tells the story of Jerry Mulligan, an American GI who is struggling to make it as a painter in Paris. After a chance encounter with the beautiful young dancer Lise the city becomes a beautiful backdrop to their sensuous romance, whilst simultaneously struggling to lift itself from the aftermath of war.
