Esa-Pekka Salonen will be conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra and pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard at the Royal Festival Hall.

They will be performing a selection of classical works by Gyorgy Ligeti and Maurice Ravel.

Ligeti -- Clocks and Clouds, Piano Concerto
Ravel -- Daphnis et Chloe

French-pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard is best-known for his love of contemporary works, but his repertoire includes pieces from every period. He regularly performs with the leading orchestras and conductors throughout Europe and the United States.

Finnish conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen’s started his career with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic. He is now principal conductor of the Philharmonia Orchestra, and has composed several major orchestral pieces.

The Philharmonia Orchestra is based at the Royal Festival Hall. Widely regarded as one of the world’s great orchestras, they have an extraordinary recorded legacy.
