I don't know about you, but when I've got a night off, there's nothing I like better than taking off my socks and shoes and setting fire to my feet by walking on a burning hot bed of coals. So when I saw this 'Fire Walk' taking place at London Zoo I just had to sign up!

Obviously I lied. I'm not mad. And anyone who walks barefoot over a bed of red hot embers smouldering at over 1200°F is clearly a bit doolally. But if you do it right then you won't feel a thing (that is what my friend said, when I was visiting him in hospital). It's just a question of mind over matter, you see. Our brain is a wonderful thing, and it can seemingly do the impossible as long as we believe! You just need to have faith (and run very fast).

And it's all in a good cause... the money raised will help ZSL pay for animal conversation.

Craig’s review – “Back to London Zoo today. I'm sitting here watching the giraffes getting fed at the moment. The zookeeper is walking around brushing all the leaves off the floor and the giraffes are dropping about a million more. He's a funny looking fella (the giraffe I mean, not the zookeeper). He's got two bony tufts coming out the top of his head and a neck that's longer than his… continued”
