Written by -- George Orwell

George Orwell's nightmarish vision of the future is coming to the Playhouse Theatre.

I still have memories of watching the movie at school, with that horrible hag with the bad teeth (do you remember that scene?). This staging will be a little bit different, though, because they are re-imagining the book to match our modern day surveillance society -- to show us why Orwell's terrible vision of the future is as relevant now as ever.

If you are from the generation who thinks that Big Brother is just a TV reality show, then prepare to meet the real thing...

Note: This show contains lots of loud noises, flashing lights, and scenes which some audience members may find distressing.
