I saw this film on the telly the other day and I forgot how good it was. Don't tell anyone that I said this, but I actually felt my eyes welling up at the end when he flew off in his spaceship.

Not many people know this... but twenty years after we let the ET escape he returned to earth with a whole army of his not-so-cute buddies and tried to blow us all up in 'Independence Day'.

Nah, I made that up -- ha ha. That was a lousy joke. ET would never do that.

The Royal Albert Hall will be showing Steven Spielberg's heartwarming masterpiece on a giant HD screen, alongside a live performance of John Williams' score, which will be performed by David Newman and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
