There will be a 41-gun salute in Green Park to mark Prince Charles' birthday.

It will be fired by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery (KTRHA), and take place near the norther edge of the park, a short distance from Constitution Hill.

Charlie is going to be 68 years old this year. (Just out of interest... did you know that Diana was over ten years younger than Charles? She would only have been 55 this year. Camilla is going to be 69.)

Note: If you're a tourist then you are required by law to buy him a birthday present, otherwise the Yeoman Guards will come and lock you up in one of the Tower of London's dungeons. (Obviously that was just a joke, but you can still buy him a present if you want to -- preferably something organic, because he likes that.)

Note: Another gun salute will take place one hour later at the Tower of London.
