This Exclusive Guided Tour of Buckingham Palace offers the visitor an insight into the history and use of the State Rooms, and the magnificent works of art on display. With their gilded ceilings and glittering chandeliers, the State Rooms provide the perfect setting for the many famous masterpieces from the Royal Collection.

The tour takes place in the company of an expert guide, and will end with a glass of champagne served in the Grand Entrance. You will also receive a copy of the official guidebook.

Places are limited, so try and book well in advance.

Buckingham Palace is the Queen’s official London residence, and is used to entertain guests and foreign heads of state, and as a backdrop for ceremonial occasions.

Buckingham Palace Summer Opening – 2nd August to 28th September 2014
The Buckingham Palace Summer Opening will grant visitors access to the lavishly decorated State Rooms, taking you through the Grand Entrance, Throne Room, Picture Gallery, Silk Tapestry Room, Ballroom, State Dining Room, Marble Hall and Music Room. There will also be an opportunity to take refreshments in the cafe overlooking the landscaped gardens.

 

Buckingham Palace, and Garden Highlights Tour – 2nd August to 28th September 2014
The Buckingham Palace Summer Opening will grant visitors access to the lavishly decorated State Rooms, taking you through the Grand Entrance, Throne Room, Picture Gallery, Silk Tapestry Room, Ballroom, State Dining Room, Marble Hall and Music Room. The “Garden Highlights Tour” also includes a walk around the edge of the landscaped grounds, taking in many of its most remarkable features

Changing the Guard, at Buckingham Palace – 1st April to 30th June 2014 (every day)
Strolling down The Mall to Buckingham Palace and watching the “Changing of the Guard” is one of the must-do events in everyone’s itinerary. The new set of guards arrive on the forecourt accompanied by a military band, which they take part in a ceremonial handing over of the keys.
