Star of "Spinal Tap" and "The Simpsons", comedy legend Harry Shearer is set to release a brand-new album -- "Can't Take A Hint". The album features a cast of musical collaborators from the worlds of pop, R&B and jazz, whom Harry has got to know on his travels. He will be joined by some of these in a live performance at Under the Bridge.

Shearer will tackle various issues of the day -- like the cost of war, the foibles of celebrity, and the recent weather extremes in his beloved Crescent City. There will be a few proper "song songs", but most of the tracks will be comedic musical sketches of the type that he produces for "Le Show".

If you like this, here are some more comedy gigs…

Josie LongJosie Long — “Cara Josephine” – 21st, 22nd and 24th 2014
Josie Long is returning to the Battersea Arts Centre with a “work in progress” show, about love and about being as outdoorsy as a bear.

Richard HerringRichard Herring — “Lord of the Dance Settee” – 23rd to 25th July 2014
After covering such weighty issues as death, love, religion and spam javelins, Richard Herring is back with a frivolous new show about daftness, and how his whole comedy career has failed to top a simple piece of slapstick he came up with at 16. Can he revisit the joke thirty years on, or will it smash his old bones?

Hal CruttendenHal Cruttenden, at the 99 Club – 25th July 2014
Hal Cruttenden (‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘Rob Brydon Show’) will be the pick of the comedians performing at the 99 Club, alongside Nina Conti, Marlon Davies and Suzi Ruffell.
