David Baddiel is coming to the Soho Theatre for a series of "work in progress" shows, testing out some brand-new material for an upcoming show -- his first proper stand-up show for 15 years.

It promises to be as much a thought-piece as a comedy act, with David presenting ideas and stories about fame, and our culture's obsession with celebrities.

The neon-lit Soho Theatre is one of London’s smaller venues, right in the heart of London, presenting a mix theatre, comedy and cabaret in a 150-seat auditorium. It also has a small performace bar and theatre bar which serves food and drink until late – perfect for a pre-show meal.

If you like this, here are some more David Baddiel comedy gigs in London…

David BaddielDavid Baddiel at Pleasance Theatre – 7th July 2013
David Baddiel’s “Fame: Not The Musical” is his first proper stand-up show for 15 years. Our society is obsessed with fame, but who will talk honestly about what it’s really like? David Baddiel will! The show is as much a thought-piece as a comedy act, with David presenting ideas and stories about fame, and our culture’s love of celebrities.

Jarred ChristmasJarred Christmas: Let’s Go Mofo’ – 6th to 8th June 2013
The man with the big sideburns is back! Jarred Christmas will be bringing his “Let’s Go Mofo” show to the Soho theatre in June. It’s all about ‘Attitude’, and Jarred’s perspective on life. Spinning together the surreal, the fun and the mythical, Christmas will regale tales about disastrous gym trips and peanut encounters, and face what it is to be a ‘proper man’.
