Ana Mendieta exhibition — “Traces” – 24th September to 15th December 2013
The Hayward Gallery presents the UK’s very first retrospective of Ana Mendieta’s work. The exhibition focuses on her later pieces, revealing the full breadth of her work in a wide variety of media, from photography to film, sculpture and drawing. Ana Mendieta was famous for using her own body in her work, together with elemental materials such as blood, fire, earth and water.
Dayanita Singh exhibition — “Go Away Closer” – 8th October to 15th December 2013
The Hayward Gallery presents the first major retrospective of Dayanita Singh’s work in the UK — one of today’s foremost photographers. The exhibition brings together work from the past few decades and her famous ‘museums’ — large wooden structures which can be placed in various configurations, each holding 70 to 140 photographs.

Richard Serra — Drawings for the Courtauld – 19th September 2013 to 12th January 2014
The Courtauld Gallery is putting together an exhibition displaying twelve of Serra’s most recent drawings in dense black crayon, created especially for the Courtauld Gallery. Serra first rose to prominence in New York more than forty years ago, and is celebrated for his ground-breaking sculptures and for his radical approach to drawing.
