The world famous Proms season continues at the Royal Albert Hall with a concert by Sir Antonio Pappano and the Orchestra and Chorus of the Royal Opera House. They will be performing Berlioz's "The Trojans".

The terracota-coloured Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s favourite concert venues. Whilst it remains most famous for classical music and the annual Prom concerts, it also holds rock and pop concerts, sports events and award ceremonies.

ZuccheroItalian music star, Zucchero – 22nd May 2013
Zucchero is one of Italy’s biggest music stars, duetting with everyone from Eric Clapton and Elton John, to Sting and Pavarotti. He last performed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011 and returns now with a brand-new album called “La Sesion Cubana”, which was recorded in Havana and features collaborations with some of Cuba’s most important musicians.

During the 1980s Dire Straits was one of the biggest bands in the world with songs like “Money For Nothing”, “Romeo and Juliet” and “Sultans Of Swing”. Then Mark Knopfler hit out on his own, releasing seven solo albums to great success. Now he’s up to number eight — “Privateering” — a double album containing 20 original songs.
