Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy a piece of open-air theatre in the grounds of Kensington Palace, when the GB Theatre Company put on a performance of Shakespeare's "The Tempest".

"The Tempest" is believed to be Shakespeare's last-ever play, and tells the story of Prospero lying marooned on a remote island. The sorceror uses his magical powers to conjure up a storm and reunite his enemies, but also awakens his daughter Miranda... whose first experience of love complicates his plot.

Note: Seating is not provided, and you will have to bring a blanket or chairs to sit on. Umbrellas will not be allowed during the performance, as they block people's view.

Kensington Palace has been home to many British royals including William III and Queen Victoria, but is perhaps most famous these days for being the former residence of Diana, Princess of Wales.
