Rufus Wainwright has been hailed by Elton John as "the greatest songwriter on the planet" and hails from a vert musical family -- his parents are the folk-singing Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III, whilst his sister Martha has found equal success in the pop charts.

The Hammersmith Apollo is one of London’s major entertainment venues, attracting some of the world’s best acts. The Grade II listed building can seat between 3,500 and 5,000 people, depending on whether the seats have been removed from the standing section.
