TV's Paul Merton will be joining Josie Lawrence at the Comedy Store Players for a night of comedy improvisation. Other comedians on the bill include Neil Mullarkey, Richard Vranch, Andy Smart and Lee Simpson.

Josie Lawrence is best known for her appearances in the ad-libbed comedy show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" in which she had to crack gags and sing on the spot. She has also appeared in "EastEnders" and taken lead roles in many stage-plays, including some for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Paul Merton's deadpan and offbeat humour has made him one of the most popular comedians in the UK. He has a regular spot as team captain on TV's "Have I Got News for You" and Radio 4's "Just a Minute", and has been performing with The Comedy Store Players for more than 25 years.

The Comedy Store started out as a venue for alternative comedy in the 1980s, and has helped to launch the careers of some of Britain’s best comics. The club is surprisingly small inside, but attracts some of the biggest names in the business. It also has a great American-style diner and bar.
