No Christmas would be complete without a visit to see Tchaikovsky's classic ballet "The Nutcracker".

As midnight chimes a magical Christmas tree starts to grow through the ceiling, marking the start of Clara's journey to the Sugar Plum Fairy's retreat in the Kingdom of Sweets. The magnificent Toytown battle that follows, her battle with the Mouse King and romance with the handsome Prince will leave a festive glow long after New Year's been and gone.

The English National Ballet is one of Britain’s four major ballet companies. It is based at the London Coliseum and undertakes frequent tours of the UK and the wider world.

With 2,359 seats the London Coliseum is one of the largest theatres in London. The Grade II listed building is home to both the English National Opera (ENO) and the English National Ballet – two of the country’s foremost classical companies.

The opera’s exploration of the joy, anguish and heartbreak of young love, and its succession of passionate arias and duets, makes this the ultimate romantic opera.
