Hot HouseHarold Pinter’s “The Hothouse” – 8th May to 3rd August 2013
Harold Pinter’s tragicomedy “The Hothouse” returns to the West End with Simon Russell Beale and John Simm in the lead roles. It’s Christmas Day in a state-run mental institution, but the inmates are still being subjected to a tirade of mindless cruelty by the maniacal leader. Pinter’s play is a commentary on the perils of unchecked power, and is as vital and pertinent today as when it was written in the 50s.

Night Alive“The Night Alive” — Donmar Warehouse – 13th June to 27th July 2013
Tommy rents a run-down room in his uncle’s house, rolling from one get-rich-quick scheme to the next with his best-mate Doc. But then one day he comes to the aid of Aimee, who’s not had it easy herself. Maybe together they could make something more of their lives? Something extraordinary… Perhaps.
