The streets of Hackney will be paved with gold this Christmas as "Dick Whittington" comes to the Empire.

Join Dick and his cat on their quest to find fame and fortune as the Mayor of London. This traditional Christmas panto is filled with colourful characters, plenty of dancing and music and some great knockabout comedy.

The historic Hackney Empire was built at the turn of the 20th-century. The Grade II listed building has seen everyone from Charlie Chaplin and WC Fields, to Stan Laurel and Marie Lloyd, and a recent refit has seen it return to its former glory.
