Here's a treat: the Museum of London will be putting on a special literary tour that takes in the key sites of Charles Dickens' London. But the difference is... it's on a boat!

You will be able to enjoy a leisurely afternoon boating down the Thames in the company of Alex Werner and Tony Williams (co-authors of "Dickens's Victorian London"), who will point out key sites from the author's life -- such as the blacking factory where he worked as a boy and the Limehouse pub in "Our Mutual Friend".

The boat will motor between the Festival Pier (opposite the Royal Festival Hall) and Greenwich.

If you like this, here are some more boat trips in London…

You can choose a one-way, return, or even an all-day hop-on hop-off ticket, allowing you to explore the city at your leisure. Some of the larger boats also include an onboard bar selling tea, coffee and snacks.
