Football at the London Olympics will be spread around six of the country's finest football grounds -- City of Coventry Stadium, Hampden Park, Millennium Stadium, Old Trafford, St James' Park and Wembley. Only one of these is in London -- Wembley.
Because the football competition has one of the most intense schedules of the entire Games, the group stages will actually kick off two days before the Opening Ceremony. We have only listed below the games that actually take place at Wembley.
29th July (5 PM to 9.45 PM) -- 2 men's matches, preliminary round
31st July (7.45 PM to 9.45 PM) -- 1 women's game, preliminary round
1st Aug (5 PM to 7 PM) -- 1 men's match, preliminary round
4th Aug (2.30 PM to 4.30 PM) -- Men's quarter final
6th Aug (5 PM to 7 PM) -- Women's semi-final
7th Aug (5 PM to 7 PM) -- Men's semi-final
9th Aug (7.45 PM to 10.15 PM) -- Women's final and medal ceremony
11th Aug (3 PM to 5.30 PM) -- Men's final and medal ceremony
