Britten’s haunting score rolls around with the churning sea and the changing moods of the landscape, resulting in an opera full of menace and beauty.

The Royal Opera House is putting on a production of Puccini’s operatic swansong, “Turandot”, famous for its dramatic aria “Nessun Dorma”. The cold-hearted Princess Turandot has sworn that no man shall marry her unless he can correctly answer three riddles. Prince Calaf takes up the challenge, determined to win her heart… or die in the attempt.
