"Lucia di Lammermoor" is the most dramatic of all Donizetti's operas, and tells the story of a child-like bride tricked into a politically advantageous marriage by her abusive older brother. But then she falls for a Byronic outcast and her personality turns madly - and murderously - to love.

Holland Park is spread around 54 acres of what used to be the grounds of Holland House. It now contains a wide variety of sports activities, an Japanese ornamental garden, and an outdoor theatre.
