Richard Serra — Drawings for the Courtauld – 19th September 2013 to 12th January 2014
The Courtauld Gallery is putting together an exhibition displaying twelve of Serra’s most recent drawings in dense black crayon, created especially for the Courtauld Gallery. Serra first rose to prominence in New York more than forty years ago, and is celebrated for his ground-breaking sculptures and for his radical approach to drawing.
The Young Durer — Drawing The Figure – 17th October 2013 to 12th January 2014
The Courtauld Gallery is putting together a special exhibition of works by Albrecht Durer. It will collect together some of his finest figure drawings, in particular his ‘wanderjahre’ or ‘journeyman’ years, as well as some rare works by precursors and contemporaries who remain little known in the UK.

“Australia”… at the Royal Academy of Arts – 21st September to 8th December 2013
The Royal Academy’s new exhibition will span more than 200 years of Australian art from 1800 to the present day, and will include paintings, drawings, multimedia and photography. The themes covered will include the impact of colonisation on Australia’s indigenous people, early nation building, and the increasing urbanisation of the last 100 years.
