"Shrek The Musical" is based on the original Oscar-winning movie from 2001, and brings everyone's favorite big green ogre to life on the London stage.

In a faraway kingdom things get ugly when an ugly ogre -- not a handsome prince -- turns up to rescue the beautiful princess. And when you throw in a donkey who just can't shut up, a villain with a very short fuse, and a dozen other fairytale misfits, you've got the kind of tale that calls out for a real hero.

Theatre Royal Drury Lane is London’s oldest theatre, dating all the way back to 1662. Its latest incarnation contains an elegant staircase, a chandeliered salon, and one of the finest auditoriums in the world. Its pit and three tiers of balcony seats accommodate about 2,200 people.
