Shostakovich’s debut opera — ‘The Nose’

to Royal Opera House Opera at the Royal Opera House London. The Royal Opera House will be putting on a production of Shostakovich's debut opera, a surrealist satire called 'The Nose'.

Winter Ice Rink, at the Natural History Museum1 NovemberThe Natural History Museum always has one of the best outdoor ice rinks, decorated with a huge tree and fairy lights.

Visscher’s London of 1616 — Redrawn for 20161 NovemberThe Guildhall Art Gallery will be showing Visscher’s image of medieval London alongside a new version by Robin Reynolds.

Evensong Mass at St. Paul’s Cathedral1 NovemberIf you attend a choral Evensong service at St. Paul’s Cathedral, you can wander around and see part of the Cathedral for free.

Bond in Motion — collection of James Bond cars1 November“Bond in Motion” is a huge collection of original cars, bikes and boats used during filming in the 007 James Bond movies.

Free lunchtime concert at St. Martin-in-the-Fields1 NovemberSt Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square usually puts on a free classical music recitals a couple of times each week.

Beyond Caravaggio — at the National Gallery1 November‘Beyond Caravaggio’ at the National Gallery will explore the impact that Caravaggio’s paintings had on later artists.

Game Plan — Old board games, re-discovered1 NovemberThe Museum of Childhood’s new exhibition and explore the history of more than 100 board games, both old and new.

‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ competition1 November“Wildlife Photographer of the Year” returns to the Natural History Museum, with an exhibition of the the top 100 nature photos.

“The Lion King” — music by Elton John1 NovemberBased on the Oscar-winning Disney movie, “The Lion King” tells the story of Simba and his adventures in the jungle.
