We don’t have any more guided tours, but how about these other events on 15 April in London?

Turner Inspired: In the Light of Claude15 AprilJ W Turner was a huge admirer of the Italian artist Claude’s landscapes. Two of Turner’s most famous paintings were even left to the gallery on the proviso that they were hung between two of his pictures. This exhibition will showcase some other closely related works and includes oils, watercolours and sketchbooks.

Yayoi Kusama exhibition15 AprilYayoi Kusama is probably best-known for her repeating dot patterns. Since 1977 this intriguing artist has spent much of her life living in a psychiatric institution, and her work has been touched by obsession and a desire to escape from psychological trauma.

See the London Olympic medals, at the British Museum15 AprilThe British Museum will be hosting a small exhibition showcasing all the medals that can be won at the London Olympics. Also on show will be medals from the 1908 and 1948 London Olympics. The display will tell the complete story of the medals from start to finish, from the mining of the metal to the creation of the designs, to the final casting at the Royal Mint.

Titian’s “Diana and Callisto”15 AprilThis special exhibition celebrates the National Gallery’s acquisition of Titian’s “Diana and Callisto”. Its companion painting “Diana and Actaeon” was purchased in 2009, and the pair have now been reunited in Room 1. “Diana and Callisto” shows the moment when Diana banishes Callisto after revealing her pregnancy.

Damien Hirst exhibition — Tate Modern15 AprilDamien Hirst first came to attention in the 1980s and has gone on to become one of the most influential artists of his generation. This exciting exhibition will bring together key works from his first twenty years, including many of his iconic sculptures, medicine cabinets and spot and spin paintings.

Marcus Brigstocke, at the Comedy Store15 AprilMarcus Brigstocke will be joining the Comedy Store Players for a night of comedy improvisation. Other comedians on the bill include Andy Smart, Steve Edis, Stephen Frost, Steve Steen and Josie Lawrence.

“Misterman”, at the National Theatre15 AprilThomas Magill lives in Inishfree, a quaint little Irish town. As a fierce evangelist he wants to save this sinful place from itself. Dwain Flynn is a miserable drunk, and Mrs Cleary is a blasphemous flirt, but they aren’t listening. How far will Thomas go in his quest for salvation?

“Noises Off”, at the Novello Theatre15 AprilThe Novello Theatre will be putting on a production of Michael Frayn’s side-splitting comedy, “Noises Off” — hailed as one of the best British comedies ever written. The plot follows the backstage shenanigans of a theatre company as they stumble their way through rehearsals to a shambolic first night and a final disastrous performance.

David Shrigley: Brain Activity15 AprilDavid Shrigley is best known for his witty and wry observations on everyday life. He uses a deliberately crude graphic style alongside an insightful commentary on the absurdities of human relationships. This exhibition will be his first major show in London.
