Alighiero Boetti was one of the most influential Italian artists of the 20th-century. The British Museum will be hosting a small exhibition showcasing all the medals that can be won at the London Olympics. Also on show will be medals from the 1908 and 1948 London Olympics. The display will tell the complete story of the medals from start to finish, from the mining of the metal to the creation of the designs, to the final casting at the Royal Mint.
