Draw Your Weapons: The Art of Commando Comics23 MarchThis explosive exhibition features some of the best covers and illustrations from 50 years of the “Commando” comic series. “Draw Your Weapons: The Art of Commando Comics” will explore the history of the comic from its very first issue, through to its heroic subject matter and its enduring popularity.

Alighiero Boetti exhibition — Tate Modern23 MarchAlighiero Boetti was one of the most influential Italian artists of the 20th-century. As a key member of the Arte Povera group he sought radical new ways to use simple materials like stamps, pens and magazine covers. Later on he travelled to places like Ethiopia and Afghanistan and created some wonderful embroideries.

Ideal Home Show 201223 MarchThe Ideal Home Show is now into its 104th year. The exhibition includes everything you ever wanted to know about refitting your home. There will be more than 800 exhibitors on display with goods for you to try and buy, and celebrity speakers will be one hand to give their tips.

Titian’s “Diana and Callisto”23 MarchThis special exhibition celebrates the National Gallery’s acquisition of Titian’s “Diana and Callisto”. Its companion painting “Diana and Actaeon” was purchased in 2009, and the pair have now been reunited in Room 1. “Diana and Callisto” shows the moment when Diana banishes Callisto after revealing her pregnancy.

“Dickens and London” exhibition, at the Museum of London23 MarchThe Museum of London will be marking the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth by putting on a major new exhibition, taking you on a journey through Victorian London to discover the city that inspired his writings. Paintings, photographs and the original manuscripts of ‘Bleak House’ and ‘David Copperfield’ will bring to life the author’s world.

“Absent Friends” at the Harold Pinter Theatre23 MarchAlan Ayckbourn’s classic black comedy “Absent Friends” will be one tea party that you’ll never forget… When Colin loses his fiancĂ©e, his friends invite him round for a bit of cheering up. But when they start to pour the tea trouble bubbles up in the form of a wickedly funny blend of jealousy, infidelity and barely hidden hatred. Maybe it isn’t just Colin that needs the help?

Gesamtkunstwerk: New art from Germany23 MarchThe Saatchi Gallery is hosting an exhibition of new art from Germany called “Gesamtkunstwerk”. It will include pieces by Dirk Bell, Matti Braun, Andre Butzer, Max Frisinger, Thomas Helbig, Volker Hueller, Thomas Kiesewetter, Josephine Meckseper, Kirstine Roepstorff, Julian Rosefeldt, Markus Selg and Thomas Zipp.

David Shrigley: Brain Activity23 MarchDavid Shrigley is best known for his witty and wry observations on everyday life. He uses a deliberately crude graphic style alongside an insightful commentary on the absurdities of human relationships. This exhibition will be his first major show in London.

JLS — at the O2 Arena23 MarchJLS originally shot to fame during the X-Factor before becoming one of Britain’s most successful boy bands. Now they have announced a brand new “4th Dimension” arena tour for March and April 2012, taking in three nights at the O2 Arena.

“Migrations” exhibition — Tate Britain23 MarchCutting through 500 years of history, the exhibition will include works by Lely, Kneller, Mondrian, Bomberg and more. It was also explore the 16th and 17th-century Dutch and Flemish artists who came over in search of new patrons for their landscape and still-life work.

See the London Olympic medals, at the British Museum23 MarchThe British Museum will be hosting a small exhibition showcasing all the medals that can be won at the London Olympics. Also on show will be medals from the 1908 and 1948 London Olympics. The display will tell the complete story of the medals from start to finish, from the mining of the metal to the creation of the designs, to the final casting at the Royal Mint.

Changing the Guard, at Buckingham Palace23 MarchStrolling down The Mall to Buckingham Palace and watching the “Changing of the Guard” is one of the must-do events in everyone’s itinerary. The new set of guards arrive on the forecourt accompanied by a military band, which they take part in a ceremonial handing over of the keys.

“The Ladykillers”, at the Gielgud Theatre23 MarchThe classic Ealing comedy “The Ladykillers” is coming to the stage in a brand new adaption by Graham Linehan. Posing as a group of amateur musicians, a cunning gang of thieves rent a room in fiesty old Mrs Wilberforce’s house. Can she defeat the five big, burly men before they do the dastardly deed?

Tyne Daly in “Master Class” — about Maria Callas23 March“Master Class” tells the story of iconic opera singer Maria Callas. Tyne Daley (of “Cagney and Lacey” fame) takes the role of the legendary diva, whose turbulent love life and fiery temperament led to much self-sacrifice and heartache.
